Autoscan Systems Pty. Ltd. is the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of premium special-purpose systems for use with research-quality optical microscopes. Our systems include special-purpose turnkey systems for specific applications, as well as minimum configuration systems for use with third-party software. In particular, we offer two special-application systems:

1. Our Fission Track Dating systems (based on our time-tested Trakscan software), which are a product of continuous development over the years since our initial participation in 1979. Current development has resulted in total automation of the track counting process, and this module is expected to be available no later than the end of 2007.


2. Our AutoScope-based systems for radiation protection. These allow the automatic recognition, characterisation, storage and re-location of alpha-particle tracks in CR39 solid-state track detectors. We also offer an associated software package (Irradiate) which controls external equipment (such as radiation from a cyclotron, and the associated "hit counter"), and which allows these systems to be used (among other applications) in cancer research. AutoScope can also be applied to the study of fission tracks in volcanic glasses, which have a similar morphology to alpha tracks in CR39."
